General Conditions

  • When you enroll for a French course (and accommodation), you accept these General Terms and Payment Conditions, as well as the norms, rules and guarantees of our agency and the partner school.
  • All the reservations are personal and non-transferable to others.
  • You declare to be in good physical and mental health.
  • We work hard to keep our information sheets, website descriptions and other marketing materials updated. However, we cannot be held responsible for any changes.
  • The French schools deserve the right to change a group course into private classes if there are not enough students to form a group at the same level. If this happens, the number of private lessons is fewer than the group course booked; in most cases there is a 50% reduction.

Travel and Arrival

  • Students are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel (airfares or other transport costs to and from the host country as well as any local transport costs, unless it is specified in the program description that local transportation is included.
  • Students must inquire about obtaining a visa at the Embassy or Consulate nearest to them. The responsibility of obtaining visas is the student’s.
  • The proof of enrolment document which is required for the visa can only be issued if the enrolment form has been received and the advance payment of 50% of the total invoice sum has been made.
  • Only if your flight information is given at least five days before arrival, we can guarantee the contracted airport pick-up.

Insurance and Medical Advice

  • We recommend you buy travel and medical insurance policy.
  • If you participate in an adventure tour or activity program, it is your responsibility to ensure that the travel or medical insurance policy covers the activity or sport (surfing, diving, etc.)

Accommodation

  • If the accommodation as booked is not available, the student may be placed in a different accommodation of similar standard.
  • Special requests and dietary restrictions will be accommodated where possible but cannot (always) be guaranteed.
  • The students will be charged for the replacement of items broken either intentionally or through negligence. If there is damage and no one is directly responsible, the cost of repairs may be divided among all the students in the accommodation
  • You are responsible for personal items left in the student accommodation premises or at the host families.

Classes

  • The partner schools reserve the right to extend or change timetables.
  • It is not possible to make up classes due to illness, unless personal arrangements are made directly with the school administration.
  • There are no classes on national holidays; however, some partner schools may replace the classes by a cultural activity or excursion or replace part of the lessons
  • Classes cannot be recuperated and are non-refundable.
  • If there are not enough students at the same level, most of the schools offer private lessons instead. In that case, the number of hours will be reduced (usually there is a 50% reduction).

Payments

  • A deposit payment of 50% is required to guarantee the reservation.
  • The remaining costs needs to be paid at 30 days before the starting date.
  • If the starting date of the program is less than 30 days away, full payment is requested.
  • Please inquire about our payment options upon applying for your program.
  • Prices may be subject to currency fluctuations due to different currencies of our partner schools or if the client pays in another currency than the one used in the invoice.
  • Transaction costs for bank wires need to be covered by the student; there is a surcharge for payments via PayPal and credit card.

Admission or Expulsion

  • We reserve the right to cancel the student’s place if two weeks before the start of the program, the student has not yet paid the total sum the invoice and services contracted.
  • In the case of a serious disciplinary offence, repeated bad behavior or infringement of the code of behavior of the partner organization and/or the laws of the host country, the student might be expelled from the program as well as from the accommodation contracted.
  • If the student is expelled from the program because of the above stated reasons, he/she will not receive any refund.
  • In the case where damages are caused to third parties, all the expenses claimed from the partner school that originate from the above-mentioned incident will be charged to the student, who will have no right to later claims.

Refund Policy & Cancellations

  • All program changes must be made prior to the student’s arrival in regards to their initially established program; changes are subject to availability and there might be a surcharge.
  • We must be notified of all cancellations in writing.
  • USD $300 or 30% of the deposit / program costs already paid (whichever is higher) is non-refundable.
  • The remaining program costs may only be refunded if we receive a written cancellation notice at least 3 weeks before the beginning of the program(*) and if the partner school accepts the cancellation. Cancellation fees may apply.
  • There will be no partial refunds for days of either the program or the accommodation missed, nor will the student be able to make them up at a later date, UNLESS the partner school accepts a settlement.
  • For changes of any kind, a USD$80 change fee will be charged. All changes are subject to availability.
  • Changes within 2 weeks before start of the project cannot be honored (*).
  • Students, who, for any reason, withdraw from a program or any portion of it once the program has already started, do so at their own expense.
  • NO refunds are granted once the program has started (*).
*Except in cases of serious illness (of the student or a direct family member) or another serious situation (for example, work or examination in home country, pregnancy or the obligation of doing military service).

Privacy Policy

  • We are committed to maintaining your confidence concerning the privacy of the personal information you give us and/or we collect from you. Neither your email address nor any other data will ever be given to a third party except for the partner school where you will be attending courses. Read more here about our Privacy Policy.

Others

  • We provide a service connecting students to partner schools. The student agrees that our organization is not liable for any actions or omissions of the partner organization.
  • The student agrees to comply with the partner organization's code of conduct, which will be provided upon request.
  • We reserve the right to use feedback and images provided by students or the partner organizations for publicity and marketing reasons.
  • We accept no responsibility whatsoever for cases of force majeure (according to law) or for students’ actions.
  • We are not responsible for personal items left in the school buildings or in the accommodation premises.
  • The student acknowledges and accepts the responsibilities and risks associated with their agreement to travel to and live in a foreign country. We are not liable, to the maximum extent of the law, for any loss or harm the student or associates may suffer.
  • We are not responsible for the cost of extra services (sightseeing, excursions/activities not included in the program, extra classes, etc.) incurred during the course of your program.
